random incident at Eastern Market

On Saturday, I was walking back from Eastern Market to my car. I had just purchased a bag of peaches and I was really excited to share them with my family when I got home. A woman stopped me on my way to my car, and asked me if I would give her some money for something to eat. I did not have cash, but instead offered her a couple of peaches from my bag. She said No and asked me for $5 for a subway footlong. Apparently fresh produce is not good enough for the homeless...
